In the framework of the Smart Grids for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (SGREEE) project, the Electricity Regulatory Authority of Viet Nam (ERAV) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) are organising the Smart Grid Week Vietnam, a series of events and workshops that should deal with specific topics and target groups within the project’s focus.

DERlab will be supporting the Smart Grid Symposium Vietnam during the Smart Grid Week Vietnam 2019, taking place 2-5 December 2019 in Hanoi (VN).

The SGREEE project supports the Government of Viet Nam in implementing its Smart Grid Road Map (SGRM) with the immediate aim to facilitate the integration of an increasing share of RE as well as enabling demand-side energy efficiency measures, by way of introducing intelligent grid solutions that will lead to the flexibilisation and digitalisation of the power system.

The project aims to support ERAV and other involved stakeholders to increase their regulatory, methodological and technological capacities related to the development of Smart Grids for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency.

The Smart Grid Symposium, taking place on the third day, will focus on the state-of-the-art research and development in the areas of flexibilisation and digitalisation of the power system and the grid integration of variable renewable energies. During the day, power system experts will exchange knowledge and international good practices in presentations and “deep-dive” workshops.

The target group of the symposium are Vietnamese and international Power System Experts from utilities and power system operators, public and private sector and research and academia organisations.
