The 1st International workshop on “Open Source Modelling and Simulation of Energy Systems” will take place on 4 to 5 April 2022 at the E.On Energy Research Center, RWTH Aachen, Germany.
The workshop, organised by Thomas Strasser (AIT), Antonello Monti (RWTH), Andrea Benigni (FZJ-RWTH), and Thiemo Pesch (FZJ), deals with all the aspects related to use and development of open source tools for the modelling and simulation of power and energy systems. The main goal of the workshop is to encourage discussion on these topics among experts coming from academia, industry and utilities.
The workshop is technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES). Proceedings will be included in IEEE Xplore, authors of submitted and presented papers are also encouraged to submit a technically extended paper for the IEEE Open Journal of the Industrial Electronics Society.
The main topics on which the workshop is expected to represent a qualified forum for providing contributions to the advancement of knowledge include, but are not limited to the ones listed below:
• Electromagnetic transient simulation
• Dynamic phasor simulation
• Electromecchanical transient simulation
• Load flow – energy systems analysis
• Real-time simulation
• Equation based modelling
• Building simulation
• Gas grids simulation
• Open models and meta-modeling
Deadline for paper submission: 15th November, 2021
Notification of acceptance: 15th December, 2021
Receipt of final manuscript: 15th January, 2022
