“PV LEGAL” becomes “PV GRID”
|
Project PV GRID officially started in May 2012 While PV LEGAL focused on pointing out legal and administrative barriers that are faced by planners and installers of PV systems, PV GRID will focus on technical aspects that hamper the large-scale integration of PV electricity into the distribution grids. The website of PV GRID will be opened in the summer 2012. DERlab's participation >>> |
Call for papers on Hardware-in-the-loop testing
|

Over 20 user projects have already been completed using Distributed Energy Resources Research Infrastructures (DERri) Transnational Access (TA). DERri is a unique opportunity for European research groups to supplement their ongoing research. The available testing facilities and infrastructures are described on www.der-ri.net. |
DERlab releases the European White Book on Grid-Connected Storage
|
The newly published DERlab European White Book on Grid-Connected Storage examines the fundamental functions and duties of energy storage systems. The book has its special focus on storage systems as seen from the grid and gives clarification, among other things, to interconnection issues, economical aspects and testing procedures. External contribution was invited during several public workshops within recent years, e. g. at the IRES conference. Photo: CEA-INES |

DERlab's technical liaison with CENELEC TC 8X
CENELEC Technical Board welcomes DERlab as an official “Technical Liaison Partner” within the CLC/TC 8X committee (System aspects of electrical energy supply) in 2011.
CENELEC is the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardisation and is responsible for standardisation in the electrotechnical engineering field. CENELEC prepares voluntary standards, which helps to enhance European excellence in the area of electrotechnical standardisation.
The scope of the CLC/TC 8X technical body is to prepare the necessary standards framework and coordinate the development, in cooperation with other TC/SCs, of CENELEC standards needed to facilitate the functioning of electricity supply systems in open markets. DERlab contributed actively to the recent European standard EN 50438 “Requirements for the connection of micro generators in parallel with public low voltage distribution networks”.
