FOSS Research Centre for Sustainable Energy plays a key role in research and technological development activities in the field of sustainable energy within Cyprus and at international level. With the aim to contribute to reaching energy and environment objectives set out by Europe, FOSS generates novel ideas, provides training and education and a strong stimulus for interdisciplinary co-operation.
Being only the second year of existence for FOSS, 2015 has seen significant progress at the Centre with its rapidly growing project achievements, collaborations and partnerships.
“Networking through the DERlab network has provided us
with ample opportunities for joint work.
We see DERlab as a very valuable platform for knowledge
transfer and increased visibility,”
George E. Georghiou, Director of FOSS.
FOSS will be further on promoting effective cooperation between academia, industry and business sectors, as well as contributing to the transfer of knowledge from advanced European clusters to the region.
